About your Therapist
Jessica Holton, MSW, LCSW, LCAS has over two decades of experience and is an award-winning neurobiologically- and polyvagal-informed private practitioner specializing in treating Trauma- & Stressor-Related Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, Addictions, and Grief & Loss. She earned her Master of Social Work and became certified in Social Work Practice with the Deaf and Hard of Hearing from East Carolina University. She is board certified in North Carolina as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist (LCAS) and board certified in Arizona as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
Jessica is also a Climate-Aware Therapist, a Certified Integrative Mental Health Professional, and an Herbalist.

Jessica has had leadership roles with the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) at the local, state, and national levels: Co-Chair of NASW-NC's Greenville's Local Program Unit from 2005 to 2012; Elected as NASW-NC's President Elect from 2011 to 2012; NASW-NC's President from 2012 to 2014; Jessica was a national Delegate representing NASW-NC from 2011 to 2018. She was appointed to NASW's Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drug (ATOD) Specialty Section Committee from 2008 to 2018 and served as Chair from 2010 to 2016. Additionally, she was the Chair of the the NASW National Committee on Nominations and Leadership Identification (NCNLI) from 2019 to 2020.

Jessica was the President of Addiction Professionals of North Carolina (APNC), an affiliate of NAADAC, from January 2020 to December 2021.
Jessica served on the the Blue Cross Blue Shield NC Behavioral Health Provider Advisory Group from June 2020 to July 2023 and she is a member of the Bi-Annual Aetna/North Carolina Behavioral Health Collaborative.

Jessica is the current Associate Clinical Director of Eastern Carolina Critical Incident Stress Management Association and she is a member of the the University of Arizona's Norton Council of Alumni & Friends.
She has composed many professional newsletter articles, compiled a six-hour continuing education curriculum on addiction, and is a national public speaker.
Jessica was awarded the College of Agriculture, Life and Environmental Sciences 2024 Professional Achievement Award. She was the recipient of the 2022 Outstanding Alumni of East Carolina University, the University of Arizona Norton School of Family and Consumer Sciences Council of Alumni and Friends 2022 Professional Achievement Award, the 2019 NASW-NC Social Worker of the Year, the East Carolina University’s College of Health and Human Performance’s Outstanding Alumni Award 2019, the East Carolina University Division of Student Affairs 2018 40 Under 40 Leadership Awards, the East Carolina University School of Social Work Rising Star Alumni Award in 2012, the and 2005 Community Service Award from the Wilson Resource Center for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing.
