Safe and Sound Protocol™

Safe and Sound Protocol™  (SSP) is a passive pathway intervention that boosts or accelerates the effectiveness of other active pathway therapies, including psychotherapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy and physical therapy. 

 

To comply with licensure laws, participants MUST be  physically (feet on the ground) North Carolina or Arizona while administering digital SSP.​

Pet Grief & Loss Virtual Support Group

Second Thursday of the Month​
(unless otherwise noted)
​
Time: 7:15 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. (EST/EDT) 
4:15 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. (PDT) / 5:15 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. (MST)

 

The group is appropriate for animal guardians, including foster parents, animal health professionals and  volunteers, and other caregivers, who have experienced the following:

  • Expected, Sudden, or Traumatic Death

  • Chronic Illness Management

  • Fatal Diagnosis

  • Anticipatory Grief

  • Runaway

  • Rehoming

  • Service Animal Retiring/Succession Planning

 

​"Payment" to attend the virtual support group:

A donation to the Humane Society of Eastern Carolina,  the Pet Food Pantry of Eastern Carolina, OR your local Humane Society or Pet Food Pantry. 

 

A brief pre-screening is required prior to joining this virtual support group.  RSVP is required to receive the virtual support group meeting link

virtual support group sessions.

CANCELLATION POLICY
​EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2013 (REVISED OCTOBER 10, 2016; MARCH 26, 2020; AUGUST 2025)
 
Individuals who do not attend their scheduled appointment, or cancel with less than 24 hours' notice, will be charged a $50.00 fee.  The fee must be paid prior to the next attended session to avoid cancellation of future appointments or a pause in future scheduling.  
​
The fee is subject to increase to $100.00 if additional appointments are missed without proper notice.
​
 Unattended appointments are cancelled 15 minutes after the scheduled time, resulting is a $50.00 fee.
