DIGITAL SAFE & SOUND PROTOCOL (SSP):
A PORTAL TO SOCIAL ENGAGEMENT™

Developed by Dr. Stephen Porges and based on the Polyvagal Theory, the Safe and Sound Protocol™ (SSP) is a five-hour auditory intervention designed to reduce stress and auditory sensitivity while enhancing social engagement and resilience.  The intervention uses prosodic vocal music that has been filtered to train the middle ear muscles to focus in on the frequency envelop of human speech.  Once human speech is properly perceived, the portal to social engagement has been opened.  SSP assists in calming the physiological and emotional state which leads to improved communication and more successful therapy.

Safe and Sound Protocol™ Digital Interventions are administered at home on Android and iOS devices.  Over-the-ear headphones provide the best results.

The SSP is a research-based therapy showing significant results in the following areas:

     Social and emotional difficulties
Auditory sensitivities, including Hyperacusis and Misophonia
Anxiety- and trauma-related challenges, including sleep difficulties, gut problems (IBS), Hypertension, Chronic pain, Vasovagal Syncope, Dissociation, "Self-medicating", emotional dysregulation
Inattention

     Stressors that impact social engagement
Chronic Illness, including Mast Cell Activation Syndrome, Dysautonomia,
Long-COVID, Chronic Pain

Health insurance does not cover SSP yet.
Payment plans and family/group discounts are available.
